Hello everyone. I hope that you are all doing well. I have something that I want to say. Back in May, my whole family got COVID. And yes it was terrifying. Thankfully none of us had to go to the hospital, and we are all slowly getting back our strength. But the reason I am telling you this is because the one thing that I wanted to eat during this period was Chocolate Chip Cookies.

We ended up getting some store-bought cookies from our local grocery store (Instacart really saved us.) They tasted good. But they weren’t the same. I still felt like I needed Chocolate Chip Cookies. And for me, there is only one recipe that I will make. And that is the ever classic Nestle Tollhouse Cookie.

I have tried other recipes, and some of them tasted good but couldn’t hold a candle to the recipe I hold near and dear in my heart.

The first thing you want to do is gather your ingredients. The measurements will be down below.

Your dry ingredients:

  • All purpose flour
  • baking soda
  • salt (but I have recently been putting salt in the wet ingredients and it incorporates it a lot better.)

Your wet ingredients:

  • butter
  • granulated sugar
  • brown sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • eggs
  • Chocolate  chips
  • Optional nuts

After you have all of your ingredients located. You are going to preheat your oven to 375 and prepare your cookie sheets with cooking spray and/or parchment paper.

In a small bowl, you are going to combine your dry ingredients; flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate larger bowl you are going to beat together your butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extra.

Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each addition.

Gradually beat in the flour mixture. Fold in your chocolate chips and your nuts.

Drop by the round tablespoon onto your baking sheets.

The recipe says to bake it for about 9-11 minutes. But this is completely up to you on how you like your cookies. And how the people around you like their cookies. I have two types of people who eat my cookies. My dad likes them a little bit on the crunchy side. Not burnt but not gooey. And my sister is more on the gooey side than the crunchy side.

Personally, I like cookies that are in the middle. Not too gooey and not too crunchy.

Let the set for about five minutes before giving them to your family or friends. And yes I give them warm chocolate chip cookies, because they just have such a different flavor then the same cookies that have been sitting out, in a covered tupperware. Because the chocolate chips are goey and melted. It just tastes so good.

This satisfied my chocolate chip cookie craving. I hope that you like this recipe. Feel free to check out the description down below. See you in the following recipe. Thank you.
