This printable download features the lovely rhyming poem “Add a Pinch of Love” by Rachel Esh, hand-picked from the pages of the historic Seasoned With Love cookbook from Lykens Valley, Pennsylvania.

Sometimes, standing at the kitchen counter can feel like just another chore on a long to-do list, especially when you are trying to keep things low-cost. Rachel’s vintage words offer a bright little lift, reminding us that before we shove the oven door closed, adding a tiny bit of love makes the heaviest task feel lighter. It is a sweet, lighthearted poem that captures why so many of us turn to baking as a quiet comfort when life gets busy.

It makes a beautiful addition to a kitchen message board, a sweet bookmark for your favorite baking book, or a comforting little gift to slip inside a card for a friend who loves the nostalgic warmth of old-fashioned community cooking.
