Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie
Toll house Chocolate Chip was the only thing that sounded good to me when I had COVID.
Servings 5 Dozen Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup 2 sticks butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts Optional
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F.
- Combine your flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
- Beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large mixer bowl until it is creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time. Making sure to beat well after each addition.
- Carefully and gradually add the flour mixture.
- Stir in the morsels and nuts (if using)
- Drop by the rounded tablespoon onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for about 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on the baking sheet for about 2 minutes and then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
