
Hey every body today we are going to making something that has become one of my favorite breakfasts.
But first we have to talk about the character Lan Yan she is a character from Liyue. She comes from Chenyun Vale and she is a local artisan. She states that she likes flower tasting foods and for some reason my mind kept going with the chia jingle “Cha – Cha Chia Pet” commerical of the late 90’s, early 00’s.
Now, I am not doing the chia seed pudding because it is trending I am doing it because it has 2 things that I need more in my diet:
- 1. Fiber
- 2. Omeg-3 fatty Acid.
And that is extremely important to me because of my scoliosis. When I google “scoliosis and diet” there are two things it says helps: more protien in your diet and Omega 3.
A bunch of articles say that a person with scoliosis needs to have more fish in their diet. But if you are anything like me and don’t have access to fish. This is just what works for me. No two people with scoliosis is going to have the same things that help them.
For this recipe you are going to need:
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 4 tablespoons water
- 1/2 of the vanilla protien shake container ( I usually just drink the rest or close it up and use it for another pudding(
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp sweetener of choice (I use sugar, simply because that is what I have access to.)
- Spices (I love pumpkin pie spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice and ginger)
I have made this so many times now and I am not an expert on it.
For starters, you are going to place your 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in a container with a lid.
Add your water to the chia seeds. Let it set for about 5 to 10 minutes.Stir and then you can add your mix-ins.
This time I used a vanilla protein shake that I happened to get for free at a recent mobile food bank.
I was so happy to get that from a food bank.I added half of that protein shake and half milk.
Simply because the protein shake was a bit thick. And that doesn’t work well with my asthma.
This protein shake was a dairy free and sugar free so I ended up adding both of them back in. Just so I could drink it.
I added some spice – Pumpkin pie to the protien shake chia seed pudding
Stir it up and put the lid on Place it in the fridge for as little as 2 hours or overnight which is the method that I generally use.
I have to be honest, the chia seeds that I got also came from the Food bank. And I was so happy to see them there because not everyone knows how to use chia seeds. But I have priced them at my local grocery store and Walmart a bag this size would be $10.
This is one of my favorite breakfasts. But it is slowly becoming my second favorite breakfast right now simply because “Overnight Oats.”
They have some amazing flavors and I have tried so many different flavors Such an easy and fast breakfast. (Not sponsored, yet,) just love Overnight oats. Overnight oats uses chia seeds, and there is a lot of protien. I definitely feel fuller for longer. And I get to have dessert for breakfast.
