Hey everybirdy today we are going to be making a recipe that I personally make at least once a month, especially in the winter. Baked burritos.
As always we first have to talk about the character in question. Sethos, the leader of the Temple of Silence in Sumeru. He says that his favorite foods are anything that has spice and so I thought this one would be good.

Note: You don’t have to bake them if you don’t want to. Its just something that my family has done.

The first thing you can do is make chili the night before. We use this mixture for the burrito filling.

For the chili recipe you will need:

  • Beans (any type works here, my personal favorite is black beans)
  • Chili powder
  • Water (depending on desired thickness)
  • Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Place all of these ingredients in the Instant Pot. Close the lid and cook for 40 minutes.

While you are making the chili, you have to make the cornbread. And cornbread is a must if you are having chili.

My mom has only used the Quaker Cornbread recipe, so that is the recipe we are going to make.
For this recipe, you are going to need:

  • 1 ¼  cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cornmeal
  • ¼  cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½  tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs

Heat the oven to 400°F.

Grease a 9-inch pan or a cast-iron skillet. This is what we do, and I don’t think I could make corn bread in anything other than a cast-iron.

Combine all of the dry ingredients.

To this, you are going to add the milk, oil, and eggs.

Mix everything until all of the ingredients are moistened.

Pour your batter into your prepared pan.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden.

Serve warm with chili.

The next night you will most likely have leftovers of your chili.

Instead of having to throw it away, you can make baked burritos.

For this, you are going to want:

  • Chili
  • Cheese
  • Raw onion
  • Produce
  • Tortillas
  • Sour cream (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Grease a 9×13 pan.

Prepare your burritos, however you want.

How I would do it:

  • Place your tortilla on a cutting board.
  • Place the cheese
  • Add your chili.
  • Add onions.
  • Add produce.
  • Roll up burrito
  • Place in the pan

Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes
Add sour cream on top if desired.

If you are not going to eat them right away, you could always freeze them. Just remember to add the date.

I love recipes like this, because it helps stretch the meals. And we have to throw away less food.

I hope that you liked these recipes. Feel free to check out this and other recipes like it. Thank you in advance. See you in the next recipe
