Hey everybirdy. Today we are going to be making some of the best cookies I have made in a long time. But before we get into the recipe we have to meet the character.
Today’s character is none other than Aino (I-no). The little genius who made Inffa. She is the first character that everybody gets at the start of Nod-krai. She is just a little kid who is an orphan and she makes her own family by creating little robots that can be found all over Nod-Krai and she makes her own personal maid. She has one of the biggest sweet tooth in all of the game. Maybe rivaling Ei ( the shogun) in her love for sweets.
The recipe in Question is just my favorite sugar cookie recipe that I have shared on this blog multiple times. But this time it is slightly different.
For Christmas, I was given a Valentines day cookie pan. I was determined to use it for Valentine’s Day. So I practiced and practiced using it. Realized I probably shouldn’t use chocolate chips in it. I decided to go with my sugar cookie recipe. With a twist. I made strawberry jelly from scratch and put a little bit of that in each cookie. And boy was it good.

The sugar cookie recipe comes from one of my cookbooks from my ever-growing cookbook collection.
For these Cookies you are going to need:
- 1 ¼ cup Butter
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 eggs Eggs
- 6 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (original recipe calls for nutmeg and I realized too late that we did not have any nutmeg.)
- ½ cup milk
For the homemade strawberry jelly
- 2 cups strawberry (I used frozen because that is what I had access to)
- About a tablespoon or so of water.
- ½ cup of sugar (adjust to your preference).
I got all the ingredients measured out and out of the fridge so they could all be at room temperature.

While they were getting to temp, I started on the jelly. Now you don’t have to make the jelly from scratch. You can just use what you have in your house. But I was just given frozen strawberries and wanted to do something with them.

I placed the strawberries in the pot added just a little bit of water because I have been known to overwater my fruits for jellies And they take so much longer. Added sugar and stirred. Placed the pot on the stovetop at a medium temperature.
Let it come to a boil, and continue cooking it for another 15 to 20 minutes. You can cook it for longer if you so desire. I placed it in a bowl and stirred it every once in a while so it would be cool before putting it in the cookies.
While the jelly is cooling, I started on the cookies. This was the first time I used my KitchenAid to make these cookies. And I am so happy. Because they were so fluffy.
The first thing you want to do is preheat your oven to 375F. And spray your baking sheet or cookie pan, whatever you’re using spray it. It will result in fewer tears in the future.
Cream your butter and sugar together. This takes A bit longer than you think.

Add in your eggs one at a time, and beat until they are fluffy.
Add in your vanilla.

In a separate bowl, mix together your dry ingredients: Flour, salt, and baking powder.

Add this mixture alternatively with your milk to the creamed mixture.
Sugar cookie recipe

If the dough is too sticky add a little bit more flour.
This is where you can roll it out and cut it into shapes.
However, this is where I got the cookie pan and pressed the cookie dough into the molds. I halted them and added the jelly to the middle. Topped it with the remaining half.

The recipe states that you bake these cookies for about 8 minutes. However My cookies were a bit taller than normal so I baked them for 10-12 minutes.
I let them cool in the pan for a few minutes and then with a butter knife, I carefully took them out. And to my surprise, they came out really well.
I understand how 6 cups of flour seems like a lot and I mean I know it is, but I don’t always make it. And they make about 75 to 100 cookies. I am always making these cookies to share.
I had so many compliments on these cookies. I just wanted to share my love with everyone. And I think it was understood.

I hope that you like this recipe. Feel free to check out this and other recipes like it. Thank you in advance. See you in the next recipe.
