“Sul Sul, Gerbits. My name is Robbie from Robbie’s Baking Therapy.

I wanted to share with you some of my favorite recipes that I use to cope with this tough time.

The recipe I’m sharing today is one of my go-to recipes: brownies from a book called “Good to the Corps.” It’s written by the West Point Women’s Club. I spent a dollar on it. This is probably the most used dollar I have ever spent.

Your first step is to preheat your oven to 350°F since no one wants to wait for the oven to heat up. When I first started baking, I got the ingredients ready first, then I preheat the oven. While the oven was preheating, I would throw it in and wonder why the baked goods didn’t come out.

The recipe and measurements will be in the description below. Feel free to check it out.

Butter or margarine should be melted. Margarine is usually what I mean when I say butter, as it’s cheaper, and I don’t feel there’s much difference in taste between the two. Stir in the brown sugar after the butter has melted.

Afterward, sift in the other dry ingredients. Included in these are cocoa, flour, and baking powder.

Then we will add the eggs and vanilla.

Make sure the batter is tasty. Haha! You need to see if it is going to be edible. A bad batter will lead to a bad baked product. Just remember to not eat to much.

Grease a 9X13 pan and pour the batter into it. When I say greased, I’m referring to non-stick spray or parchment paper. Yes, both. Occasionally, I use both to help get the baked items out of the pan and to help with cleanup. No one wants soggy baked goods.

Let’s bake the brownies for about 25-30 minutes. Several factors influence the time it takes. The weather is the most important factor. On a humid day, the process will take a little bit longer. Therefore, always choose the lowest time and stick it with a toothpick. Keep doing this until the toothpick is clean.

Wait about 10 minutes for it to cool. Once it is cool, you can enjoy your brownie.

This recipe is in the description below if you want to make it.
