Sul Sul, Gerbits! Today we are going to be making something that everyone has either had or made themselves. Banana Bread! Banana Bread is just such a satisfying breakfast, lunch or dessert. There is just something about it that makes people love it.

This recipe is from the best cookbook I own. The West Point Women’s Club Cookbook. The recipe and the measurements will be in the description down below

The first thing that you are going to want to do is preheat your oven to 325℉. (Thankfully Dori was not the one who got struck by lightning.)

You are going to mix together your shortening, sugar, eggs, baking soda, and salt.

Next you are going to add the flour, milk and your bananas and mix well.

This is when you would put in the optional nut.

There are multiple ways that you can bake this bread.

1st would be in a loaf pan and bake it for an hour.

Dori: Um… can you two move please?

The two looked at Dori and just kept on talking.

Dori back to the video: The 2nd is in a bundt pan and bake it for 45 minutes.

3rd is mini loaf pans and bake it for 20 minutes.

Dori: Really? Can you move… please?

Right Gossiper:“Oh my gosh… who does she think she is? Briella? No she is nothing but a fish!

Left Gossiper “yea that is so true. She could never be like her grandmother or even her mother.”

Dori: You do realize that I can hear you right. I am not trying to compete with my grandmother or my mother. Okay! I am trying to live my own life! Just Let me be… JEEZ!

Dori back to the camera: Sorry about that guys!

Banana Bread is always one of those beginning recipes. If you live in an area where bananas are available. Also can we just address the elephant in the room. Plantains are not bananas. How am I supposed to make sweet banana Bread with starchy plantain? I’m sorry but they are relatives yes! But they are not the same thing! You can not make banana bread with plantains. There are probably recipes out there for plantain bread. But please, now that plantains are different than bananas.

I hope that you all enjoyed this recipe. Feel Free to check out the recipe in the description down below. Vadish, Dag Dag.
