Sul Sul, Gerbits. Today we are going to be making some Butterscotch oatmeal cookies. Technically, they are apple butter oatmeal cookies. But, it really tastes like butter scotch.

The recipe will be in the description down below. Feel free to check it out.

The ingredients that you will need for this recipe are:

  • flour
  • baking powder
  • salt
  • oats
  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • apple butter
  • an egg
  • vanilla extract
  • the optional chopped nuts.

The first thing you are going to do is preheat your oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Spray your cookie baking sheets with non-stick spray.

We’re going to whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together. Stir in the oats and then set it aside.

The butter and brown sugar should be thoroughly combined when using an electric mixer either at medium speed. Mixed in the apple butter. Add the egg and the vanilla and mix well.

Reduce the mixer speed to low. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing just until combined. If you have nuts you can stir them in now.

Drop the dough by tablespoons onto the baking sheets.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the centers appear to set. For me, the baking time for cookies is always 8 minutes. But that is just because of my oven.

Cool the cookies on the pan for 5 minutes and then transfer them to the wire racks to cool completely.

I love simple cookie recipes like this one. It was such a good breakfast. I hope that you liked this recipe. Feel free to check out the recipe down in the description. Vadish, Dag Dag!
