Sul Sul, Gerbits. Today we have another apple recipe. This recipe is another one that is made in the Instant Pot. There are recipes out there to make Apple Butter on the stove and in the crock pot, but once again I am using what I have and the equipment I am used to.

When I first got the Instant pot, I was extremely intimidated by it. There are so many bells and whistles on it and I didn’t want to break it. But after understanding how to use it, I can’t stop. It is very addicting.

This recipe can easily be doubled for more apple butter, if you have all of the ingredients. For this recipe you are going to need:
- apples
- water
- brown sugar
- cinnamon
- vanilla.

The first thing you are going to do is core and chop the apples.

Add the water to your instant pot, and place the apples on top.

Close the lid and make sure that the valve is set to sealing.

Cook on high pressure for 20 minutes.

Allow the pressure to release naturally.

Using an immersion blender or by transferring apples to a standard blender, blend it until smooth.

If you are using a standard blender, return apples to the pot.

Now you are going to add the brown sugar and spices. Stir until combined.

Set instant Pot to sauté low, and allow the sauce to thicken, stirring regularly.

Transfer the sauce to mason jars for storage. And store the apple butter in the fridge when it not in use.

I love apple butter. I only recently had it. The only thing is I have never had a store bought apple butter. I have only ever had homemade apple butter. And it is so good, and it just tastes so different from any other spread.
