Sul Sul, Gerbits. Today’s recipe is nothing like the healthy black bean of last time. Today we are going to be putting a cream cheese frosting onto an apple pie. For me, I don’t think I am EVER gonna make this recipe again. Not because it wasn’t good. But because it was just so sweet.

I will probably make this recipe again, minus the cream cheese frosting.

If you want to make this recipe for yourself, feel free too. The recipe will be in the description down below.

Preheat your oven to 375℉.

You are going to combine the flour and salt.

And cut in the butter using a pastry blender.

In a glass measuring cup add the milk and egg yolk to make up ⅔ cup.

Add this to the flour mixture.

Mix to form the pie dough.

Now you are going to roll ½ of the dough out into an ungreased 10×15 inch baking sheet.

Place enough apple slices to fill the sheet. I used 6 apples and it was the perfect amount.

Sprinkle sugar, flour, cinnamon over the apples.

Roll out the other half of the dough, and cover the apples.

Make sure to have a second baking sheet in the oven. This way you can catch any caramel that happens to come out of your pie. Trust me it is a mess if you do not, and it doesn’t really smell that good either. Just smells like burnt sugar.

Bake your pie for 35 minutes.

Now, this part is optional. I wanted to copy the recipe. So I followed it, however, please. PLEASE, do not feel that you need this layer. It will be extremely sweet. So if you get affected by sweets, please do not do this.

According to the recipe, you must mix the cream cheese, vanilla, and powdered sugar together.

While the pie is still warm, spread the frosting over top.

Slice into squares and enjoy.

While I was making this recipe I was very confused. I kept thinking: “Why did the creator of this recipe think that they needed a frosting to go on top of a pie?” Like I am all for pie, and I like cream cheese frosting. But, not together. That was way too sweet.

I am not saying that it wasn’t a good recipe, it was just a little bit too sweet for my liking. If you want to try it out for yourself, and make the apple pie squares minus the cream cheese frosting. Feel free too. The recipe will be down in the description below. I hope you like this recipe. Vadish, Dag Dag.
