Sul Sul, Gerbits. Today we are going to be making a recipe that some of you may be familiar with. My mom, Briella Flores-Ponder creator of Ponder-ing Life made these sugar cookies a bunch of times.

In honor of my mom. I want to share with you her sugar cookie recipe. The recipe that started my love of baking.

The first thing you want to do is preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

The measurements and recipe will be in the description down below. As well as a link to mom’s original post about this recipe.

In a mixing bowl, you are going to cream together your butter and sugar.

Add your eggs and mix until it is fluffy.

You are going to need a large bowl for your dry ingredients. One that can hold up to 6 cups of flour and the other dry ingredients. Which are your salt, baking powder, nutmeg, or cinnamon.

To the large bowl of dry ingredients, you are going to add the milk a little bit at a time. Alternatively to the creamed butter mixture.

If the dough is too sticky, do not be afraid to add more flour.

I have made this recipe so many times and I always know that I am going to need more than 6 cups of flour. However, the amount of flour needed changes based on the temperature in the kitchen.

Roll your dough out to the desired thickness. And have fun cutting them out with the cookie cutters that you may have.

Bake the cookies for 8 minutes and cool them.

Don’t be surprised by the time you get this recipe done, you will be hurting. Or at least I am when I make these cookies. They are so much fun to make. And know whenever I have a craving for them,

I start thinking about mom. How happy she would be seeing me here, happily standing in my kitchen. Telling all you gerbits out there, the recipes that we love. And finding new ones.

Sorry for the sappiness. I just really wanted to share this recipe for those of you who didn’t have a chance to get to know my mom. And for those of you who knew her, I wanted you to remember her.

Mom and everyone else, I hope you liked this recipe. Make sure to like and subscribe for more recipes like this one. Vadish, Dag Dag!
