Sul Sul, Gerbits! Today is a good day to be making bread. Not just any type of bread, but an apple fritter bread.

When I have a bunch of ingredients, I am usually a little overwhelmed. But, I am always up for trying new recipes.

If anyone ever wants to send me a recipe, feel free to send me a message, I may or may not make the recipes you send in. But I will look at them because I am the food nerd who is so interested in cookbooks. The older the cookbook the more fun it becomes. Seeing what other people in the world ate when the cookbook was made.

Sorry for the little tangent there, back to the recipe.
The first thing you want to do is preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease a 9 by 5-inch loaf pan with a nonstick spray.

You are going to mix the brown sugar and about 1 teaspoon of cinnamon in a bowl, and you are going to set that aside until you need it later.
Chop the apples and put them in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and the remaining cinnamon and stir them until the apples are coated with cinnamon sugar. Set this bowl aside until you need it.

With an electric mixer, beat the butter and the remaining ⅔ cup granulated sugar together until it looks light and fluffy. This will take about 5 minutes.

After the 5 minutes is done, turn your mixer on medium speed and add the eggs one at a time, and then add your vanilla extract.

Whisk together your dry ingredients, which are the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a separate bowl.
Once you combine the dry ingredients, add the creamed butter mixture, and mix until blended.

Pour ½ cup milk into this mixture until it is smooth.
Now we are going to place the bread in the pan. But, there is a specific way that we need to do it. First, place ½ of the batter into the prepared pan.

Then add half of the apple mixture.
Then you are going to sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top of the apples.
Repeat this process of adding the bread batter, apples, and brown sugar until you have no more.

You are going to lightly pat the apples into the batter; swirl the brown sugar through the apples using a knife.

You are going to bake the bread for about 1 hour and 10 minutes or until when pricked with a toothpick it comes out clean.
Let the bread rest in the pan for about 15 minutes. Or you can warm it. It tastes really good.

Before serving, make the glaze and place it on the bread. To do this you mix the powdered sugar with the remaining 1 to 3 tablespoons of milk. Add more milk if you want the consistency to be thinner.

This bread was surprising. I wasn’t sure if it would come outright. And when I took it out of the bread pan, it did not come out perfectly. I pricked it with a toothpick and it came out clean. So I was surprised and a little scared when I took it out and it was moist because of the apples.
However, this was a bread that did not have any leftovers. Everyone kept going back for seconds. I will probably be making this in the future, a lot.
I hope you liked the recipe. Make sure to like and subscribe for more recipes like this one in the future. Vadish, Dag Dag!
