Yes I know that this recipe makes 6 loaves. And not everyone would be willing to let it rise and double for as many times as it says to do in this recipe. But I am someone who would make this recipe and it is most definitely going on my TBB (To Be Baked) .

$11.32 / 6= $1.89 per loaf. $1.89/16= $0.12 per slice. $15.29/6 = $2.55 per loaf. $2.55/16 = $0.16 per slice.

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Yeast in 1 cup water and 1 tsp sugar $5.48
- 3/4 cup oil Food Bank / $3.97
- 1/2 cup sugar $3.46 – 4lb bag
- 1 Tbsp Salt
- 4 cups lukewarm water
- Flour $2.38 – 5lb bag
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in the water and sugar.
- In a bowl, put the oil, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, and the rest of the water.
- Last, add the yeast mixture.
- Put in flour until somewhat sticky, beating well.
- Let rise.
- Punch down and turn.
- Let it rise again.
- Add a little oil to work.
- Bake at 375°F for 20-30 minutes.
- Makes 6 loaves.
