Sul Sul, Gerbits! Today we are going to a recipe that I think everyone needs to know. It is a simple recipe.

And yes I know how many times I have said a “simple recipe.” But the simple recipes are the recipes that are needed right now. I am going to teach you how to make Pancakes.

The ingredients you will need:
- egg
- flour
- sugar
- baking powder
- salt
- milk
- vegetable oil
The measurements will be done in the description below.

In a medium bowl, you are going to beat the egg with a wire whisk until light and fluffy.

Stir in the remaining ingredients until the flour is moistened. At this point, the batter will be slightly lumpy. Make sure not to over mix or the pancakes will be tough.

If you want thinner pancakes, stir in an additional 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk.

Heat your griddle or skillet over medium heat.

A good way to test if the griddle is hot enough is to sprinkle it with a few drops of water. If bubbles jump around, heat is just right.

Brush with vegetable oil if necessary, or spray the griddle with non-stick spray before cooking.

For each pancake, pour slightly less than ¼ cup of the batter onto the griddle. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until bubbly on top and dry around edges.

Turn; cook on the other side until golden brown.

If you are making a large number of pancakes, have your oven at the lowest temperature it will be. Place an empty cookie sheet inside. Place the done pancakes in the oven until you are ready to serve.

This is one of those recipes that everyone should know how to do. Because there are times when you only have a small number of ingredients in your pantry. I hope that you like this recipe.
