Ingredients

  • 9 cups Chex Cereal Rice, Corn, or Honey
  • 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 cup Butter or Margarine
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar

Directions

  • Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a heat-safe bowl set over simmering water (or a double boiler). Stir continuously until smooth and glossy.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Measure your cereal into a large bowl. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over top and fold gently with a spatula until every piece is coated.
  • Allow the coated cereal to cool down for 5–10 minutes (or pop in the fridge briefly) so it is cool to the touch but not hard.
  • Transfer the cereal into a large sealable bag or container. Add the powdered sugar, seal tightly, and shake gently until completely coated.

  • Avoid Clumping: Wait until the chocolate is cooled before adding powdered sugar so it doesn't melt into a paste.
  • Storage Tip: Keeps at room temperature in an airtight container for 1 week, or store in the fridge/freezer for extra crunch!
