A classic, no-bake crunchy snack made with Chex cereal, melted chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and a snowy dusting of powdered sugar. A quick, low-energy bake coming in at just $0.28 per serving ($5.05 for the entire batch).
Combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a heat-safe bowl set over simmering water (or a double boiler). Stir continuously until smooth and glossy.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Measure your cereal into a large bowl. Pour the warm chocolate mixture over top and fold gently with a spatula until every piece is coated.
Allow the coated cereal to cool down for 5–10 minutes (or pop in the fridge briefly) so it is cool to the touch but not hard.
Transfer the cereal into a large sealable bag or container. Add the powdered sugar, seal tightly, and shake gently until completely coated.
