Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas the browner, the sweeter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A dash of salt1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Set the Stage:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Take your time to grease your loaf pans, allowing yourself to become fully present in the kitchen.

Release the Stress:

  • Mash the bananas and sugar together in a bowl. Let go of whatever is weighing on your mind as you blend them smooth.

Bring It Together:

  • Crack in the egg, then add your dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, and a dash of salt) along with the vanilla. Watch the dry and wet textures transform and unite.

Beat and Pour:

  • Beat well until the batter is smooth. Pour the mixture into your greased loaf pans, scraping every last bit out of the bowl.

The Warm Cleanse:

  • Bake for 45-60 minutes. As your home fills with a nostalgic aroma, sit back, make a cup of tea, and just breathe. You did great today.
