Sul Sul, Gerbits. Today is going to be different. Since everyone in my house is sick, not with anything serious, but just sick, I made some apple butter today.  I made it in my instant pot. There are recipes out there on Simtrest, for stovetop apple butter.

For this recipe, you are going to need:

  • apples
  • water
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • vanilla

For the measurements make sure to check the recipe down in the description.

The first thing you are going to do is core and chop the apples.

Add the water to your instant pot. Then you are going to add your apples on top.

Close the lid, and set the valve to sealing.

Cook on high pressure for 20 minutes.

Allow pressure to release naturally, which means do not move the valve after the timer goes off.

Using an immersion blender or a regular old fashioned blender make sure to blend it until smooth.

If you are using a regular blender make sure to return the apples to the instant pot.

Add the brown sugar and spices, and stir until it is combined.

Set the instant pot to saute low, and allow the sauce to thicken, stirring it regularly. You want to stir it, so that it doesn’t burn at the bottom.

Store the sauce in mason jars for storage. The apple butter should be stored in the fridge after making it.

Gerbits, this was my first jelly that I made. I was really happy about it. However, I couldn’t believe that the FREAKING butler ate the entire jar of apple butter. Like really, you could have a little bit of it on bread, but no you decided to have the whole jar. Hm….

Berto, I feel like we should not have any more butlers. Butlers are stupid, she ate the freaking apple butter that I spent all day on. UGH!!

Um… Brie… you realize that you are still recording right…?

Oh shoot… Sorry guys, um… yeah… don’t get butlers, they don’t work, they die in fires and they STEAL YOUR FREAKING APPLE BUTTER!!

Thank you all for watching, sorry for the drama. Hope you guys like and subscribe for more recipes in the future. Vadish, Dag Dag!
