When’s Payday?!? Pound Cake
It is funny how this is the first recipe that I shared with everyone from my favorite Cookbook.

Method
- Mix all ingredients well.
- Pour into a greased bundt or loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 until golden brown. 35 mins
- This is a satisfying dessert/snack, for when you’re down to basic ingredients and pay day is a long time away.
- Serve with ice cream, fruit, or alone.

💰The “Payday -Stretch” Version
If it’s truly the end of the month and you need to stretch every cent, you can swap the butter for Imperial Vegetable Oil Spread and use Great Value Flour. This small change drops the cost of the entire batch from $3.96 down to just $1.89. It still delivers that nostalgic, golden crust we love, but at a price that keeps your feathers unruffled.
