Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups milk
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat milk until bubbles form at the edges.
  2. In a bowl, combine sugar cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Pour into hot milk, a little at a time, stirring to dissolve.
  4. continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon.
  5. DO NOT BOIL.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and butter.
  7. Pour into serving dishes.
  8. Chill Before serving
